I’m Jaffer Isaak, also known as Kanu, and I want to share my inspiring journey with you. Over two decades ago, I arrived in this incredible nation we call the United Kingdom, and I consider myself truly blessed to call this place my home.

The United Kingdom has been instrumental in transforming my life in countless ways. It has granted me dignity and provided me with opportunities to transcend the constraints of poverty. I owe much of my gratitude to the honest and competent institutions that form the fabric of this great nation, including the UK Security Agencies, the judiciary, and the entire society.

When I first arrived, I did not possess a formal education. However, thanks to the unyielding support and nurturing environment this country offers, I now proudly stand among my peers as a holder of a master’s degree in Global Politics, Governance, and Security. This achievement is a testament to the transformative power of education and the endless possibilities that await those who are willing to embrace them.

In light of the tremendous impact this country has had on my life, I am compelled to give back in any way I can. As my humble gesture of gratitude, I have decided to embark on an extraordinary journey. I will be walking over 800 miles, from London to Edinburgh and back again, to showcase the tremendous honor and privilege that immigrants like myself enjoy in the United Kingdom.

This is not just a walk; it is a symbol of unity, resilience, and the triumph of the human spirit. It is a way for me to shine a light on the remarkable contributions that immigrants bring to this great nation. Through this endeavor, I hope to inspire others to see the boundless opportunities that await them, regardless of their background or circumstances.
